PDF Tools - Merge, Split and Organize PDF Files in Your Browser

Combine several PDFs into one, split a long PDF into smaller files, pull out the pages you need, delete the ones you do not, and turn pages that were scanned sideways. Every page is shown as a thumbnail, so you can see what you are doing before you download.

Most online PDF tools upload your document to a server to do this. Here the work happens in your browser: the PDF is read, previewed and written on your own device, which matters for contracts, bank statements, medical letters and ID scans. There is no watermark, no page limit and no account.

How to use it

  1. Drop one or more PDF files on the box, or click it to choose them.
  2. Merge: put the files in order with the arrows, then press Merge and download.
  3. Organize pages: drag pages into a new order, rotate or delete them, then press Download PDF, or tick some pages and press Download selected pages.
  4. Split: choose how to split, then press Split and download. Several files arrive together in one ZIP.

Ways to split

OptionResult for a 10-page PDF
Every page into its own file10 files of one page each
Every few pages with 34 files: pages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10
By page ranges, one file each with 1-2, 3-8, 9-3 files: pages 1-2, 3-8 and 9-10
Extract pages into one file with 1, 4-5, 101 file of 4 pages, in that order

A range without an end, such as 9-, runs to the last page. Pages can be listed in any order and repeated, so 3, 1, 2 also reorders them.

What happens to the pages

Pages are copied into the new file as they are: text stays selectable and searchable, fonts and images are not re-compressed, and each page keeps its own size, so an A4 portrait page and a landscape page can sit in the same document. Rotation is stored as a page setting, the same way a PDF reader does it, so turning a page loses nothing.

Some parts of a PDF belong to the whole document rather than to a page. The bookmark list and interactive form fields are not carried into the new file; web links on the pages are kept. The output is a new PDF, so the original files are never changed.

Protected and damaged files

A PDF with a password, or with restrictions that forbid editing, cannot be changed here, and the tool says so instead of producing a broken file. Remove the protection first in the program that set it, if you are allowed to. A file that no PDF reader can open will not open here either.

Limits

Up to 20 files and 300 MB in total can be open at once. Everything is held in your device's memory, so very large scanned documents are handled faster on a computer than on a phone. Thumbnails are drawn only when they scroll into view, which keeps long documents responsive.
