Privacy Policy
Overview
LogicUtil ("we", "our") provides free online developer tools at logicutil.com. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use them.
All tools run entirely in your browser
Every tool on LogicUtil processes your data locally, with JavaScript running in your browser: JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder & Decoder, URL Encoder & Decoder, JWT Decoder, Hash Generator, UUID Generator, Password Generator, QR Code Generator, Regex Tester, Unix Timestamp Converter, Color Converter and Image Converter. Whatever you type, paste, open or generate in them stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers, logged or stored.
Image Converter
Adding an image to the Image Converter does not upload it. Your browser decodes each image, resizes it if you pick a size, and re-encodes it as WebP, PNG or JPG with its built-in canvas functions; when you download several images at once, the ZIP file is put together inside the page as well. Your images never reach our server, so we cannot see them or keep a copy. They stay in your browser's memory until you reset the converter or reload or close the page.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information for each request (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamp) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. This is standard web server behavior, separate from the tools themselves.
Cookies
LogicUtil sets no advertising or cross-site cookies. Google Analytics, described below, sets two first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_Q4D3HZMZJH) to recognise a returning browser: visitors in Europe are asked before they are set, and anyone can remove them with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. A session cookie is used only to keep our administrators logged into the site's management panel and is never set for regular visitors.
Analytics and advertising
There is no advertising on LogicUtil. To see which pages are useful and how people find them, the site keeps its own cookieless visit statistics. When a page opens, a short script sends our server the page address, the page you came from, any campaign (UTM) tags, and your browser's language, time zone and screen size. When you leave, it adds how long the page was in use, how far you scrolled and whether you used the tool. The server adds your country (and sometimes region and city) as reported by our network provider Cloudflare, plus the device type, browser and operating system from the browser's user agent. Nothing you type, paste or upload into a tool is included.
These statistics store no cookie or other identifier on your device, and your IP address is not saved. To tell visitors apart, the IP address and user agent are turned into a one-way hash with a random key that is replaced every day and then deleted, so the statistics cannot identify you or link your visits across days. Automated requests from search engines, AI crawlers and similar bots are logged separately with their IP address and user agent. Statistics are kept for about 13 months and are never sold or shared.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, for more detailed usage reports. So that it never slows a page down, its script is requested only after the page has finished loading. If your browser's time zone is in Europe, it is not loaded at all until you choose "Allow" in the banner; elsewhere it loads unless you decline, or unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Google Analytics receives the pages you view, the page you came from, your approximate location, device and browser details, and interactions such as scrolling, outbound link clicks and file downloads. Nothing you type, paste or upload into a tool is sent to it.
Google signals, advertising features and ad personalisation are switched off, and we do not share this data with other Google products. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, and user-level data is deleted after 14 months. Google processes the data on our behalf under its data processing terms and may do so on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Your answer is remembered in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page (declining also deletes the cookies), or block Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on. How Google itself handles data is described in Google's privacy policy.
