vCard QR Code Generator
Build a contact-card QR code for business cards, email signatures and name badges, free and without a watermark.
Create a vCard QR Code
Typing a name, number and email from a paper business card is slow and error-prone. A vCard QR code carries the same details in a standard contact format, so a scan adds you to someone's address book in seconds.
This page opens the QR Code Generator with the contact card type selected. The code is generated in your browser, which keeps your details private while you work on them.
Static code, no subscription
Many QR services create "dynamic" codes that point to a short link on their server, then charge a monthly fee or stop working when a trial ends. The code made here is static: the whole vCard is inside it. It cannot be tracked, it cannot be switched off, and it keeps working as long as the print exists.
What goes into the card
| Field | vCard property | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| First and last name | N and FN | Used as the contact's display name |
| Organisation | ORG | Company or institution |
| Job title | TITLE | Keep it short |
| Phone | TEL | Use international format, such as +44 20 7946 0000 |
EMAIL | One address keeps the code compact | |
| Website | URL | Include https:// |
Keeping the code scannable
- Every extra field adds modules; fill in only what you actually want to share.
- On a standard business card, print the code at least 2 cm (0.8 inch) wide.
- A centred logo works because the generator raises error correction to high, but test the printed proof on a couple of phones.
- Keep dark modules on a light background and leave the quiet zone around the code empty.
Other ways to share contact details
If you only want people to open a profile page, a plain URL code from the QR Code Generator is smaller and easier to scan. For guests who need your network rather than your number, make a Wi-Fi QR code.
