PNG to PDF Converter
Put PNG screenshots, diagrams and scans into a PDF with every pixel intact, so small text stays sharp.
Convert PNG to PDF Online
PNG is the format of screenshots, diagrams, charts and exported slides: images with flat colours and small text, where every pixel counts. Many converters turn them into JPEG on the way into a PDF, which leaves grey haze around letters and lines. This page is the Image Converter with PDF output and lossless image data preselected, so what you see in the PNG is exactly what ends up on the page.
Everything happens in your browser tab: the images are decoded, compressed and written into the PDF locally, without an upload.
Lossless or JPEG?
| Image data | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Lossless (sharper text) | Screenshots, UI mockups, charts, code, scanned forms with small print | Larger file |
| JPEG (smaller file) | Photos and colourful images without fine text | Slight blur around sharp edges |
A handy test: zoom to 200% on a line of text. If you would notice a smudge there, keep lossless.
Page size for screenshots
Same as image gives each screenshot a page of its own shape, which reads best on screen and avoids white bands. When the PDF will be printed or attached to a report, A4 or US Letter with Automatic orientation places wide screenshots on landscape pages and tall ones on portrait pages, scaled down to fit and centred.
Transparency and colour
PDF pages have no transparent background here, so transparent pixels are painted white. Colours are written as standard RGB, which is how the PNG was displayed on your screen. If you need a transparent image rather than a document, keep the PNG or convert it with PNG to WebP instead.
