Convert JPG to PDF Online

Phone scans of a contract, photos of receipts for an expense claim, a set of pictures for a visa or job application: all of them usually have to be sent as one PDF, not as a pile of JPG files. This page is the Image Converter with PDF output and A4 pages already chosen, so each JPG becomes one page of a document that prints cleanly.

The conversion happens in your browser. The JPGs are read, placed on the pages and written into a PDF locally, so personal documents are never uploaded.

How each JPG is placed on the page

The photo is scaled down until it fits inside the page and its margins, then centred. It is never stretched or cropped, and it is never enlarged beyond its own size, so a small picture sits in the middle of the page instead of turning blurry. With Orientation on Automatic, a landscape photo gets a landscape page, so it is not shrunk to a strip across a tall sheet.

Making a lighter PDF

A modern phone photo has far more pixels than an A4 page can show. Choose Max width and enter about 1600 before converting, and lower the quality to 75 or 80 if the PDF must fit an upload limit; the text on a scanned page stays perfectly readable. For images that contain screenshots or fine print, PNG to PDF explains the lossless option, and Image to PDF covers mixed formats.

Scanning tips for readable pages

  • Light: photograph documents in even daylight, without the flash, to avoid a bright spot.
  • Angle: hold the phone straight above the page so lines stay parallel.
  • Background: a dark table behind a white page makes the edges obvious.
  • Crop first: the Exact size, cropped mode trims every image from the centre, but a crop in the phone's photo editor is more precise for a single page.
